Less is More
When it comes to picking items for your home, less is more. Do some de-cluttering and get rid of any of the nonessentials. Pick a statement piece for each room and then decorate around it — making it the centerpiece.
Natural Materials
While people continue to make smarter choices about their food, they’re also choosing more natural items for their homes. Angie Lee, of FXCollaborative, told ED, “For 2019, there is greater interest in biophilia — emphasizing the relationship between humankind and nature, and the connections between the two. Natural, organic materials — such as wood floors, stone and daylight and plant life — remind us of the exterior and brings the outside and nature, in.”
Warm Colors
ED says that “warm” and “feminine” colors will be popular in 2019. According to the article, this means soft shades of pink, blush tones, dusty pinks or even bronze. Makes these subtle pops of color in your room and everyone will feel at home!
Florals
Floral patterns are back! This will be a popular choice in both patterns and wallpaper for 2019. The trick is making them look subtle and not too overstated.
